Connnecting to Guyanese culture, and my grandparents as ancestors.I found this photo during a family reunion where my uncle had printed this image of his mother and father, my grandparents, on t-shirts. My family does not often do reunions so this was one of many significant moments in my life when I really felt connected to my extended family and those that came over to America from Guyana.
